In the SPECTRA AFT, we have combined SPECTRA fiber and high modulus graphite into the filament wound butt section in order to reduce excess rod oscillation during casting which improves accuracy, casting distance and increases sensitivity during retrieval. A re-engineered "Comfort Grip" incorporates an instant change 4" removable butt extension which allows the rod to be used in either a long or short grip configuration. Rods also feature Fuji Alconite guides at "Concept" spacing, exposed blank high impact graphite filled Nylon 6 reel seats and our proprietary Multi-Modulus tip section. Until the SPECTRA AFT came along, fish never had it so bad.
Model #'s ending in "X" have 4" removable butt extensions not included in the grip length and overall rod length.
