Buckeye Shad The Original

Introduced in the 1950s by Robert Richardson, the original Buckeye Shad was a popular bait in regions of Tennessee. The bait has been revitalized by the grandsons of the inventor. Although the original model was carved from wood, the new baits are injection molded plastic. The lipless crankbaits have a more subdued action than most baits of this type due to the rounding of the diving nose.
