The name Ken Sturdivant is familiar to many anglers around the Southeast. You may have heard his fishing tips on local, regional or national radio and television shows. Or maybe you've read one of his books, or checked out his columns in The Atlanta Journal and Constitution, in Georgia Outdoor News, and in many other regional newspapers and publications. Or perhaps you've been instructed at one of Ken's several Southern Fishing Schools and Seminars, or met him though the Bass Anglers Sportsman's Society, the Metro Bass Masters, or at his many personal appearances promoting local anglers. However you've encountered Ken, you know that he KNOWS freshwater fishin'.
Ken is a native Georgian, a retired banker and a professional angler who has fished lakes, rivers and streams all over the Southeast for more than 40 years. He is a charter member of the Bass Anglers Sportsman's Society (BASS). In 1970 he chartered the BASS affiliate, Metro Bass Masters, then served as club president twice and was its Master Angler three times, from 1981 through 1983. Since 1978 he has been a guide on Lake Sidney Lanier (which he has fished since 1956). In 1984 Ken developed The Southern Fishing Schools and The Southern Fishing Seminar series. Since then, more than 68,000 anglers have attended Striper Fever!, Trout Trickery, Slab A Thon, and The Southern Fishing Bass Schools, to name just a few of Ken's schools and seminars.
