Fishing InformationOne day after school my brother and I decided to go fishing on the Black river. We planned on wading downstream untill it got dark. After about 2 hours of wading we hadn't had any hits. So we decided to wade back up to the bridge. When we got to the bridge we took off our waders and put bottom rigs on. We sat there for an hour without any hits. Just as we were about to leave i noticed that i had something on my line. I watched as my slack line slowy creaped out. I knew it was a fish at that point. I lowered my rod tip, and waited till the line got tight. When it did i set the hook. At the same time i set the hook i saw what appeared to be a 35+ inch musky jump out of the water. After fighting the fish for 21 minutes he/she finally tired. I then sent my brother down to land it. When he reached it he was kinda hesitant to touch it. He kept yelling back that it was huge and he didn't want to touch it. After 5 minutes of coxing him on he finally grabbed it and started to run up the shore. When he reached the top of the bridge he put it on the pavement. When i saw it i almost didn't think it was a fish. When we measured it, it measured 48 inches. then we weighed it and it weighed 32 lbs. All i have to say now is...... not bad a personal best and a first legal muskie all in one. :) Personal BackgroundMy Fishing Favorites
