Company Description

Blue Diamond Marina is located on the secluded west shore of Priest Lake's Cavanaugh Bay just five miles from the town of Coolin, Idaho.

It was originally built in the early 1900s as the logging truck repair center for Diamond International Corporation and continued in that capacity for several decades.

In the 1960s, the facility was converted to a marina and by the late 1980s when the Deshlers purchased the property, the aging buildings were suffering from their years of history.

George and Carolyn began major renovations to the marina in the mid 1990s.

Gone are the old floating cabins used to house the loggers and the old cook shack/residence, but the original maintenance shop remains albeit completely renovated.

Today, Blue Diamond stands as a modern marina while still retaining the ambiance, charm and relative solitude reflective of the facility's history.

Blue Diamond offers all the services associated with a state-of-the-art marina. Daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal moorage and storage services are offered for virtually any size watercraft. Single and double covered slips are available with 30 amp electrical service and well water. As Priest Lake's deepest water marina, Blue Diamond offers all season in-the-water moorage/storage as well as a dry storage facility. A Ship's Store is located dockside and a new modern restroom/shower/ dressing room facility is available. A boat launch and free pump-out service are also available at Blue Diamond. For marina patrons, a swimming area is located on the marina grounds. Other amenities include a large grassy area, and an abundance of Adirondack lounge chairs on the numerous lakeside decks from which you can relax and enjoy the magnificent views of Priest Lake and the Selkirk Mountains.

A wide variety of rental watercraft ranging from pedal boats, canoes, personal watercraft (PWC), runabouts, fishing boats and ski boats to a 24' Sweetwater pontoon party boat are available at competitive rates.

Blue Diamond Marina also offers one of the most unique lodging facilities on Priest Lake. Guest accommodations consist of two units or a combined suite which are perfect options for those who seek a smaller, less crowded resort atmosphere with highly personalized service, and all the amenities of a larger resort. For fly-in guests, the Blue Diamond is conveniently located adjacent to the Tanglefoot Sea Plane Base and 1/2 a mile as the crow flies from the Cavanaugh Bay grass airstrip. An advance phone call will assure pick-up from the airstrip.
