Brewer Cove Haven Marina is located in Barrington, on Bullock Cove at the head of the Narragansett Bay. The marina is far removed from the rest of the Rhode Island boating scene, yet known throughout the world for its work with 12 Meters, J-Boats, and other high-performance racing machines.
Barrington is nine miles southeast of Providence, is convenient to downtown Providence, the airport, the interstate and only 25 miles from Block Island. Before the Pilgrims landed, Barrington was occupied by the Wampanoag Indians. In the 1600s Barrington was known as the 'garden of the colony' because of its fertile soil and scenic location. By 1717, Barrington was incorporated, and was named after Barrington parish in England. In the late 1800s, Barrington became a summer 'resort' for the well to do, and the Barrington Yacht Club was established in 1908. Today, the town boasts an 18-hole golf course, a four-acre town beach overlooking the Bay, an impressive 30-mile bike path that winds through much of Rhode Island's East Bay, and is nearby to the world's yachting center - Newport.
Brewer Cove Haven Marina caters to a real mixture of customers from New York Yacht Club commodores, to 12 Meter owners to some 'real ordinary folks' looking for extraordinary service work, a superb protected Rhode Island location, and the Brewer Yacht Yard reputation of quality, yacht yard comforts, and solid value for our customers.
