Spring Atlantic Salmon Fly Fishing Trips.
Let us take you on a fishing adventure whose memories will last a lifetime. Imagine fishing along one of the most famous salmon rivers in the world catching 10 or 12 fish each day, every day. There is no limit on spring salmon (hook and release). Most of these fish will range from 7 or 8 pounds to 30 lbs plus, and of course there is always the chance of landing the fish of a lifetime. You will also have the chance to bag up to 5 large sea trout a day (typically up to 6lbs each). Most of this majestic Restigouche river is owned by private fishing camps, but in the spring the river is open to us with permission from the camps. We have secured permission from most camps and exclusive rights to others.
We travel the Restigouche and Matapedia by 26 ft. cedar and fiberglass canoes that are powered by 15 hp outboard motors. This allows us to cover large areas of the river system. A typical day of fishing is 8 to 10 hours. All guides are local people, most of which have been raised on the banks of these rivers. They are all professionally licensed guides (N.B.Guide 1) Accommodations will be made at one of our fine local hotels. All are a short drive from the fishing. We can accommodate any size group. There is a standing rule that the party chief fishes at half price (groups of 8 or more), so start planning your group today.
The charge is $250.00 CDN per day for guide and canoe, 1 or 2 persons (two people may share the rate). This does not including meals and lodging, but we can set up an inclusive package (meals, lodging and guide) email us for details.
We also have a deluxe package available. It is an all inclusive package in a beautiful, professionally staffed fishing camp. This is an ideal package for groups of 6 to 8 people. It is the perfect corporate package.
Fall Leaf Fishing Trips
We at Craswell Guide Service feel that we are very lucky to live in what we consider to be God's Country. Clean air and water are things that we take for granted. Here, we hike in beautiful areas, canoe on crystal clear rivers and lakes. The most beautiful time of all is in the fall. Nature turns it up a notch and makes what is normally gorgeous into a colorful site that is hard to describe in words and pictures. That is why we offer this wonderful trip to our little piece of heaven. Picture yourself walking along wooded trails, with babbling brooks with natures creatures all around you amid the splendor of the fall colors. Picture yourself paddling or motoring along the beautiful Restigouche river in one of our 26ft. canoes. See sites that so few get to see. Wrap it up by spending a few days on the very beautiful Gaspe peninsula.
This trip is for seven days, seven days that you will never forget. We also offer a mixed package for anglers with non-fishing spouses. This requires a minimum of 6 people. Half the party will fish for Atlantic salmon and sea run trout. The other half take the fall foilage trip of a lifetime.

Canoes
Craswell Canoes builds these sturdy, safe and incredible maneuverable canoes from cedar and fiberglass, insuring a durable canoe. The shape of our canoes allow them to slip through rough water conditions with ease. The planking and ribbing are made of white eastern cedar, bow boards, thrwarts and stern boards are made of yellow birch, ash or maple. Gunnels are made of spruce, keels and sterns of ash. The outside of the canoe is covered with two layers of a fiberglass cloth. (6 oz. and 10.oz) This covering is very durable and very hard but is also easy to repair if the need arises. The inside of the canoe can be stained to almost any color or can be varnished to show off the true beauty of these native woods.
We currently make two lenghts. These models are ideal for the serious fisherman or avid outdoorsman. These are perfect canoes for hunting and fishing camps. They easily carry a guide and two guests and their gear. These canoes float in 3 to 6 inches of water!
