I went about the first of january and that lake was so far down that the blockhouse was the only place you could put in. The fishing was slow until midday when i got on some cover real shallow and started producing some some small fish.

The lake is always low through the winter months, probably on average 20 to 30 feet down. Caught the biggest blue gill I ever seen of the dock in Jan.

We visted Lake Allatoona last year. We hired a fishing guide and had a great time. The guide was great with the kids and my wife love the trip to.
