Take care on lake Rousseau. It isnt safe to run your boat very fast as sumberged logs, tree trunks and other debris. The tree stumps result of the flodding of the area to make the lake. Be wary of going into many areas of the east end of the lake. its hard to see some of the submerged tree stumps.
Ok to the fishing... well my wife can catch fish anywhere along the main channel, under docks, bloody everywhere. Bass, Crappie, striped pearch and Bowfin. ( Yuck Bowfin). She is a deamon with the night crawler. Any plastics, worms , frogs minnows, seem to work better than than live shinners.
The lake shifts from clear to mucky. and so you can use any of the colors and get bites. Funny point. We have a 1968 sport craft, 50 hp johnson. Kind of bow rider like,. Its funny to see use fishing and then watch the big bass boats zip past and then look as we pull in the fish. ok as my wife pulls in the fish...
Good thing is that the lake is relatively mozzie free and people using the lake have great manners.
Good experiance, good boat ramps all around the lake. Makes for good fishing relaxing and watch for the Otters they are so cool.. also .. watch for the gators..
