rapid lake is located in the cabonga resovoir. my favorite wilderness hideout. it is located about 150 mi. north of maniwaki. quebec. fantastic walleye"dore", northern pike, and lake trout. i have fished the gypsy narrowws area camp 16 for more than 40 years. It is bacickly primitive camping. tents,truck campers. & small moter campers. no live bait is allowed; but dead suckers and dead or salted minnows are allowed. these can be purchased about 3 mile south of rapid lake at the motel restaurant bait shop. guides andboates can be rented there also. since the area is in the algonqulin park a dailey pass is available at the bait store. i'm from the states so a passport may be needed. good luck great adventure and good fishing.
