Flints Pond was known as a fairly good Largemouth pond in the 90's but has seemed to decline since then. A good Largemouth spot to try that is less than 5 minutes away by car is Locust Pond. Locust Pond can be accessed by foot, canoe, or row-boat on Locust Rd. off of Middlesex Rd. There is a pretty good trail going along 1 side of the pond and the other is street-side which allows easy access as well. The side with the trail has many big downed trees that provide easily recognizable cover to fish along.
