I have fished the Aqueduct for years and have caught many Striped Bass and Catfish. I have found that chicken liver and anchovies work very well. To designate a good fishing spot is really hard to do, I have fish in and caught fish in many spots along the Aqueduct. The best place I have found is Johnson road in Lancaster and I know of a lot of large fish being caught on Avenue I ans 235th street west in Lancaster. Well good luck and if anyone hears of or finds a good spot, please post it here.

I've been fishing the canal on the west side of the Antelope Valley for years (20) and have consistently had good luck on catfish. The Stripper fishing is really slow up here but you may get a few with a silver/black Rapala. I have caught a few Carp over the years on worms. As far as largemouth and bluegill, I never seen any or heard of any. I don't think they make it through OSO pumping Station. My own idea is to stock the canal with trout, brown and rainbow, and see how they do. It is running water 80% of the time and there are tons of insect hatches. You can see the catfish rising on the hatches every AM and at sunset. There's not a soul around and it's alot of fun.
