Captain Scott Wagner has lived and fished Savannah and the Low-Country for over 10 years, and knows the local waters like the back of his hand. He is considered one of the top fly fisherman in the area and one of the top saltwater sightfishing guides in coastal Georgia. Along with the Georgia coast, Capt. Scott has fished extensively along the entire Eastern seaboard, and also offers charter service in Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina.
Most of Capt. Scotts fishing is done in and around the Savannah and Low-Country area, along its numerous rivers, estuaries and flats. Savannah Fly offers both half and full day charters (4 or 8 hour trips). Because of seasonal changes, be sure to contact Capt. Scott to insure your charter is set up at the right time according to the species you would like to target.
Fishing Equipment
Whether you prefer fly fishing or spinning gear, Capt. Scott supplies the best equipment for his customers such as his flats skiff, a new state of the art 18ft Hells Bay powered by Mercury®, Spinning rods & reels by G-Loomis® and Shimano®,fly rods and reels. All fishing licenses, flies, tackle & ice are provided and casting instructions are offered if you’d like.
The Charter Boat
The Hell’s Bay Waterman® series of skiffs was created for the hardcore sportfisherman. These skiffs are designed and built to be the shallowest running flats boat to date and are specifically designed to run in extremely rough water. If you frequently run across a large body of water in 25 knots of wind into 4" of water and silently pole up to fish within the length of your fishing rod this is THE boat. With the Waterman, Capt. Scott can go shallower and quieter than any other boat in the Low Country, which equals more fish for his customers.
