Tumbleweed Lodge, more than 10,000 acres of fertile farmland and rolling hills, planted annually to crops of milo, corn and small grains coupled with pastures of native grasses, trees and shrubs, is located in the center of South Dakota along the path of the great Missouri River.
The river is 20 minutes from the ranch, making prime habitat for one of the largest concentrations of Canada geese and other waterfowl found anywhere in North America! Imagine not only waterfowl, but hundreds of acres set aside and preserved strictly for nesting and winter habitat for pheasants! Excellent pheasant hunting over Labs and pointing breeds is an experience you won’t forget.
No driving half a day to go from hunting one species to the next; all hunting takes place within a five-mile radius of the lodge.
For more than 25 years, Tumbleweed Lodge has been one of the most successful hunting operations in the upper Midwest. Word-of-mouth has been 90 percent of our advertising program. Come hunt the "Grand Slam of the Dakotas" Pheasant, Sharptail Grouse, Prairie Chicken, and Hungarian partridge. Look for us on the VS network (Formerly OLN) on Beretta's Bird Hunter's Journal, World of Beretta, and SCI's Expedition Safari. Also showcased in Steve Smith's new book A Wingshooter's World.
