Owned & operated by the Gustine family since 1964, Nelson's Family Campground is located on 175 scenic acres in the heart of central Connecticut.

Whether for the day, week, month or season, the campground is an ideal place to camp, relax and enjoy the great outdoor life with your friends and family.

Every year thousands of families, many of them repeat customers, find their way to Nelson's to join us for loads of fun activities, visiting many nearby attractions, and just kicking back and escaping for a while.

We cater to all ages and lifestyles and welcome tent & popup campers, full time travelers, seasonals, and weekenders alike.

As we celebrate 40 years in the camping industry, we invite you to visit and experience all the family fun and camping excitement that we have to offer.

Directions: From New Haven or New York: Take I-91 North to Exit 22. Go South on Route 9 to stop light. Turn right onto Route 66 East. Follow Route 66 East into East Hampton. Turn left onto North Main St.-Lake Road Follow for 1 1/2 miles and turn left onto Mott Hill Rd. we are 1/2 mile up on the left hand side.

From Hartford (south) or New London (North): Take Route 2 to exit 13. Go right onto Route 66 West and follow to East Hampton. Turn right onto North Main Street. Go 1 1/2 miles North on North Main St.- Lake Road to Mott Hill Rd. We are 1/2 miles up on the left.

From Waterbury

Take I-84 East to exit 27. follow Route 691 to Route 66 East to East Hampton. Go 1 1/2 miles North on North Main St.- Lake Road to Mott Hill Rd. We are 1/2 miles up on the left.
