I use the smallie beaver bait every time i'm on the water. I have found that its just as effective on large mouth as well as small mouth. Early spring i have it on for bedding fish and in the fall it take alot of fish off the rock shelves. I always have a rod rigged with a small lock bullet weight and another rigged with a jig.

Biggest Advantage
small and compact it takes fish when they are in a nuetral mood and it works well as a jig trailer

Biggest Disadvantage
the only problem i have with it is you have to use a small 1/0 hook to get it to lay right.
