The X Rap is the latest lure to join the rapala stable is one of their most advanced lures yet! It has an intergrated long casting system with an irrestable rattle and classic Rapala action. The Permasteel 3X hooks are fastened to the stainsless steel through body wire by 3X split rings.

The XRap is long casting and in the water it suspends, rattles and has an aggresive darting action but comes to a roll at rest to trigger any following fish to strike.

    the best jerk bait on the market bar none!
    I have been using the x-rap in various sizes for the last three years. I have caught well over three hundred bass each year on the various sizes of this bait. I have tried every color of this bait and by far the most productive is the olive green. The key is to fish this bait with a slack line very fast twitching technique, similar to walking the dog with a zara spook only faster. when you do it correctly the bait litterly comes alive in the water. This technique has produced (60) fish days on heavily fished waters and when others were not catching any fish at all. You should use a medium action rod and 12# mono or flouorcarbon. either casting or spinning will work. Try to find clear water to practice this retrieve, when done correctly the bait will dart erratically from side to side and up and down in a completely random manner. If you see a fish chasing the lure just stop it momentarilly the fish will almost always attack the lure if paused for only a fraction of a second. When using a casting rod I find it easiest to keep the rod at my right side during the retrieve. With spinning rod I keep the tip up and twitch it fast on a slack line. I'm sure that if you master this retrieve you will catch many more fish this year.
