line is flakey
I used the 20# fireline crystal last year and while I did not have any line failures when I examined the line closely it appeared to have little tufts of material coming off the line. I changed to 20# power pro after three months of use with the fireline crystal. I would have rated it lower than I did if I had a line failure. Other than the appearance the crystal worked OK.

line flaking could be a defect, no confidence in line
